Centenary Quiz Night
A small but respectable turnout of four teams took part in the BGSC quiz night making for a very enjoyable and competitive evening of brainteasers and blockbusters. The four team competing were:

Quiz master for the evening was Ben "The Prof" Seal - suitably attired for the occasion. There were six rounds featuring questions on arts and literature, music, science and nature, history, food and drink and geography. Team could play a joker to double their score - the question though was when to play it! Plus there were two devilishly difficult "blockbuster" and "Centenary" round t o sort the wheat from the chaff. |
Team "Fish and Chips" Apparently the alcohol was to help the little grey cells get going. |
The old stalwarts of team "Give it a go" working on their blockbuster attempt. | |
Despite their proximity to the electronic scoring system, team "BIC" didn't manage to "cook the books". Not for want of trying !
Despite appearances, Rob Lennox was fully conscious throughout proceedings. |
The young pretenders of team "Jordan Overboard" came a bit of a cropper on their knowledge, or lack thereof, of 1980's music. Mind you the old 'uns didn't do much better on that round either. |
The teams anxious for a respite eagerly await the arrival of one of Lisa's famous hearty ploughman's suppers. Who knew ploughmen ate so much cheese? |
Ben Seal and independent adjudicator Sue announcing the final "scores on the doors" Overall winners with the highest score were : Team "Give it a go" with team "Fish and Chips" in a creditable second place. However, the team with the highest score per play was team "BIC" If you'd like to have a go at the blockbuster and Centenary rounds, you can download them by clicking on the links below in the Downloads section. |
