Huge congratulations to our very own Fred on a fantastic weekend of racing!

While weve missed him here at Barnt Green, Fred has been putting in the hard yards. After completing intense training at the ILCA skills weeks in Weymouth and Draycote, he headed to Paignton last weekend for the ILCA Rooster Regional Youth Series (South).

After Saturdays racing was blown out by blustery conditions, Sunday turned into a grueling 4 race marathon. The wind started mild but quickly ramped up to a heavy 20 knots, with gusts pushing 25!

Despite being completely exhausted by the fourth race, Fred navigated the windward/leeward course brilliantly, pushing through the fatigue to secure an amazing 3rd place in the ILCA4 fleet, tying on points with 2nd!

We are incredibly proud of your hard work, grit, and determination. Welcome home to Barnt Green for a well-earned rest!
