Late Summer Junior Training

We provide courses for children aged 7 to 16 years, covering complete beginners to very experienced sailors. The courses are open to children of club members, and also to non-club members.Our training is in accordance with the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme and will be in Optimist, Pico, Cadet or Laser dinghies (for those with their own Laser). The late summer course is for members only and will include specialised coaching to bring on the sailing of all our young sailors.

Our main aim is to have fun safely. All participants must be able to swim and be confident around others in the water. If there is severe weather, or insufficient water we reserve the right to cancel, although this is very unlikely.

Our August course is now fully booked.

The cost per child for the course is £70.

It is a course requirement that someone with parental responsibility is at the club all the time that the children are on the course. This is to ensure that all children are happy, fed and warm throughout the day and that we fulfil our child protection responsibilities.

Due to the popularity of these courses it is advisable to book early.
