21 Mar - BGSC The first 100 years. History and Hilarity
|Former Commodore Tim Jobson's retrospective on the first 100 years of sailing at Upper Bittell attracted a large audience. Around 50 members and friends on the club came along to hear stories and anecdotes which Tim had researched and presented on the evening of 21st March 2018.|
Current sailors and former members met up in the clubhouse for pre-dinner drinks and nostalgia
Lisa as usual did a fantastic job catering for the largest number of people ever to attend for supper. She provided a hearty meal of chicken in white wine sauce followed by chocolate pudding which was very well received indeed.
Tim soon got into his stride with an attentive and appreciative audience as the following images show.
|At the end of a very successful and enjoyable evening, Vice Commodore and Cenetenary Officer, Richard Chisnall, thanked Tim for his excellent presentation and led a resounding round of applause.|
