Frostbite Series 2019 » Frostbite Series 2019

The Frostbite series of races will run on Sundays from 27^th October 2016 to 22^nd December 2019 on an Average Lap basis. There will be 2 races of around 45 minutes each.

Starting signals will be as follows:

11:00 Warning Signal
11:03 Preparatory and Boards start
11:06 Boat start

The warning signal for the second race will be around 12:30hrs.
A boat or board that:
(a) did not enter,
(b) entered as a visitor 'V', or
(c) did not come to the starting area,
will be scored points for the finishing place one more than the number of boats entered in the series. This adds to rule A9.

Finishing places in average lap races will be determined using corrected times based on Portsmouth Yardstick Numbers and the number of laps completed. Portsmouth Yardstick Numbers for Enterprises and Larks sailed single-handed will be adjusted to fifty-nine sixtieths of the published number, rounded to the nearest whole number. This adds to rule A3. A boat or board's series score will be the total of her best race scores for SIX races. All other race scores will be excluded.
