On a wet blustery day with winds ranging from force 1 to 3, from the South West initially and veering to North West as the day progressed, eighteen competitors from all over the Midlands competed in five races.

In the Raceboard 7.5 fleet Mike Playle took first place having scored five firsts in his category, Robin Brown was second as the leading Barnt Green sailor and Chris Pack (BGSC) came in third.
James Davenport came first in the Formula board category
There were several impressive performances in the Junior Techno fleet with Lewis Robinson first in the 7.8 fleet, Jason Clarke was second and Kyle Martin third. Nicola Granger won the 6.8 fleet and Kieran Martin took the 5.5 category.
Barnt Green were also represented by Brett Stevenson who sailed in his first ever open meeting on a non category funboard, gaining very useful experience.
Thanks go to the Race Officer, Roger Attwood and his team plus the bar and galley staff who did an excellent job.
