Barnt Green Sailing Club - Gallery 008

An assortment of photographs of the sailboard fleet members

2008 Class Captain Brett Stevenson sailing in his first ever open meeting on a board borrowed from Bill Tucker, this day sowed the seeds that led to Brett buying his own raceboard during 2007.

2007 Class Captain Chris Pack hardens up around No. 1.

John Pullan coming out of a gybe and sailing clew first, by the lee

Hugh, Chris and Robin, beating up from No. 1 in a modarate breeze.

The sartorial saxophonist, Jeff Nancarrow, guilty of introducing "Murky" to the club, see below...

Matt Brown, light wind flare gybe on a Wednesday evening.

Please forgive my self indulgence, Nick Day took this picture of Robin on the evening that became known as Windy Wednesday. (@ F.4 to 5)  Sailing upwind in the beating strap, slight railing, too much that evening and you were in trouble! The head of the sail can be seen twisting off and de-powering. Oh, what fun we had in that race !

Hugh and Chris try out Peter England's tandem, it's great fun and requires good teamwork to turn corners !

Definition: Murky: A wonderfully refreshing drink for windsurfers consisting of 1 part ginger beer and 2 parts of bitter, stirred. Delicious !

Admin. I need pictures of our other fleet members this year, get to work you digital camera owners, please,
