Wednesday 3rd Sept. the late season party after sailing, more details here BRATs end of season social and supper at BGSC with a training race and run (Aquathlon) on 4th September '08. Weekend of 24th / 25th May and we proudly host the Lark Class Youth National Championship (on 24th, 3 races with free entry to the Nationals for 3 categories BRILLIANT OFFER BY THE LARK CLASS followed by the BGSC Open meeting single handed race) The "Lark" party on the Saturday evening and on Sunday 25th, it's our Lark Open meeting. Bob was pleased to see new Lark owners and members from other fleets turning up, more details soon..... This message from our Sailing Secretary : We are currently short of the following duties: Thursday 8th May will be the first 2008 swim by the BRATs club, restricted use of the water by sailors, more... Our annual OPEN DAY for visitors / potential new members will be held on Saturday 10th May from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Weather permitting there will be sailing on display and trips in dinghies may well be arranged. Club members will be available to take guests around the club, refreshments will also be available from "Sally's Galley". This will be an ideal opportunity for local people who have an interest in dinghy/sailboard sailing to see what is on offer at your local, friendly sailing club. We are holding Safetyboat Courses. Level 1 & 2 Boat Handling and Safety Boat Courses Members are strongly advised to take these RYA recognised 1 & 2 day courses to ensure that they can competently carry out rescue duties. |
