Saturday March 14th.  134 relatives, friends and past colleagues gathered at St. Andrew's Church in Barnt Green to attend the memorial service held as a tribute to Richard Main, known to many as Dick and/or Rick.  After a moving ceremony approximately 100 people came along to the sailing club for refreshments, a drink and a chat about past times with Rick.  The 'party' broke up at about 5.30 and seemed a very fitting local 'send off ' for a friend who will be sorely missed by many.  Fran and Chris Peace hosted the get together while Rick's son Alex put on a very brave face and impressed everyone by his stature.  I am sure all club members will join me in wishing him the very best for his future, he is aiming to go the Edinburgh Uni.' in the Autumn.          (Robin Brown)

Fran Peace and Alex Main are very sad to report the sudden death of Richard Main who was found dead at his home on Tuesday 10th February, he had sadly taken his own life. On behalf of the Commodore, Committee and all Members of the Club, we would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family at this very tragic time.
