David Lockett, BGSC Fleet Captain, has submitted this report on the 2008 Barnt Green Optimist Open Meeting. "The meeting was held on Saturday 28th June in ideal sailing conditions. We had a total of 19 competitors taking part of which 10 were in the Gold Feet and 9 in the Silver fleet with abilities ranging from National Squad members to virtual beginners. It was very pleasing to see that we had competitors travelling from as far away as Norfolk, Bristol, Liverpool and Nottingham."
