A message from our Commodore, Gordon Padmore.  Posted on site on 21st May 2010. Refers to participation in the 174 Club, please read on......

Dear All,

With only 10 days to go, I thought I should send out a reminder to advise that your 174 Club selected numbers need to be registered with Helen Jones by the end of this month.

Firstly, I would like to apologise to all those who have already returned their forms back and thank them for their support.

For those who have not returned their forms, here is the action plan;

  • If you are a member from last year’s 174 Club and wish to retain the same numbers as previously held - destiny is in your own hands to complete the form and send it, with your cheque for £12.00 per number, in the pre addressed envelope.

  • If you are a member from last year’s 174 Club but wish to change the numbers you previously held – (you may rue the day) amend the forwarded form with your alternative selection of numbers, excluding those already taken from the stated list and send the form with your cheque for £12.00 per number, in the pre addressed envelope.

  • If you have received a letter inviting you and your family to enter this select group of members but have failed to complete this form as yet, please may I remind you that time is running out (cut off date 31.05.10) and you need to select some numbers, excluding those already taken from the stated list and send the form with your cheque for £12.00 per number, in the pre addressed envelope.

                                                                                                                                                                    Remember - you have got to be in it to win it!

  • If you are wondering what this is all about, I suspect you haven’t received an invitation letter to join the exclusive club for all members and need to e-mail me back to request a form gpadmore@opening-doors.org.uk. All the information is set out but needs to be completed and returned to Helen Jones by Monday 31.05.10. The good news is that if you forget to bring the form on Sunday, there is sailing on Bank Holiday Monday. Remember – you have to speculate to accumulate.

I hope the above is a helpful reminder and look forward to hearing that we have increased the number base to a 200 Club this year.

Regards

Gordon Padmore
